While Rob was in ministry (for 10 years), Ashley found an at-home business she is passionate about- transforming homes into safe-havens. Her goal has always been to find financial freedom and spend more quality time together as a family.
In May of 2020, Rob quit his job. After sitting at home during the pandemic, they realized they really missed traveling (like a lot!), so they bought a Class A motorhome and went on a 2-month road trip. Needless to say, they fell in love. Ashley secretly started binge-watching Youtube videos of families living the full-time RV lifestyle. That turned into scrolling on Pinterest and Instagram...(you know how that goes!) Now, all she needed to do was convince Rob (the enneagram #7 "The Adventurer") that he would really like this lifestyle!
Rob responded with "Maybe, but not in this rig"...
Ashley thought "so you are saying there is a chance!"
About a month later, they traded in their Class A motorhome they have for 6 months for a Toy hauler.
Three months later (March 2021) they set out on the road for a "shakedown" trip to test out the new RV. They came back to Ohio in May 2021 to sell not only their house, everything in it, but also a rental property they had for 10 years.
They first launched their Youtube channel in an effort to remember all the amazing memories and along the way have enjoyed sharing tips they have learned from the RV life with those considering doing what they do!
